Glenn and Mike came out to MSR for a day on the 3.1 mile course to pick up a few pointers. Both of these drivers are very capable and their cars are as well. We were able to find a fews seconds for both drivers cleaning up a few lines here and there while improving technique in other areas. It was a blast to be at the track with both of them and I look forward to our next outing. Cheers, J

Coaching Jan 21st 2009 ECR – Scott C.
Scott is a very capable driver who was looking for a bit of assistance before starting his racing season. We re-engineered his driving style a bit and ened up with a very fast pace that was more consistent. His ability to adapt his driving style and understand the new techniques was impressive to say the least. Best of luck in Sebring, J
Coaching Jan 17-18th 2009 MSR – Dr. K and G
Dr. K brought out Dr. G to share the GT3 for the weekend. It was Dr. G’s 1st time to the track and by the end of the weekend he was showing very good skills on the track. Dr. K was doing very well turning the fastest time of the two, although I could not tell which had the bigger smile. I have a feeling there is a Porsche in Dr. G’s future. Cheers to both, J
Coaching Jan 11th 2009 H2R – Barry A.
Barry did an impressive job today finding right at 2 seconds in his well prepared Lotus. We found some interesting lines that proved to be faster with the data and Barry did an excellent job behind the wheel to bring it all together. If you have never had the chance to take a Lotus for a spin I highly recommend the experience. Nice Work, J
Testing Steve’s new F430 Challenge Car at ECR 1-10
Steve has decided the GT3RS has run it’s course and decided to up for a Ferrari F430 Challenge car. We took it to the track where it proceeded to impress both of us at how easy it was to drive while going very fast. It was far to easy to do 1:50.00’s and we are thinking with a few adjustments it should be a bit below that mark. What an awesome car…a special thanks to Steve for allowing me to drive his new toy a bit. Sweet, J
Coaching Jan 9th 2009 MSR – Bill S.
What can I say…when a GT3 on slicks prepared by John Galdwill shows up you know the day is going to be awesome. Bill is an increadible driver considering he has only been driving at the track for a little over a year. By the end of the day Bill had found some pace and most importantly consistency. Once again it has been proven that when you go from motorcycles to cars the results are usually impressive. If you ever see this Red GT3 coming get out of the way!
Coaching Jan 4th 2009 H2R – Michael H.
This was my first time at H2R and Michael brought out well prepared Caymen S for the outing. We completely wore out the tires on this car and it was a serious handful by days end. Even with the tire wear Micheal handled the car like a pro and we were able to find time and consistency today. It will be interesting to see how much faster he goes with some new tires! Great Job, J
Coaching Jan 3rd 2009 ECR – Brian B.
Brian has an amazing passion for driving that is evident the minute you speak with him. He is a great driver who is always at the track when time permits and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. It is not every day you spend a day at the track in a Carrera S with a farmer. Great job today and I look forward to the next time. Cheers, J
Coaching Dec 20th 2008 MSR – Dr. K and Dr. W
Dr. K and Dr. W were out for a day at the track sharing Dr. K’s 996 GT3 today and some serious good times were had. It was Dr. W’s 1st time to the track and as you can imagine he was hooked. Dr. K had the flu, but was a trooper and still came out and ran a few sessions. I am sure this is not the last time we will see this GT3 at the track.
Coaching Dec 14th 2008 – ECR – Brett L.
What can I say other than it was an amazing day today. Brett had never been to a race track before and came up to speed like a natural. Learning how to drive on a race track is hard enough, but starting in a Super Car makes the learning curve much steeper. It was a pleasure to watch him progress so quickly. Being the nice guy he is he allowed his brother Matt and assistant Sam to also drive on track for the first time…in super cars no less! They all did an excellent job and not a single wheel was dropped off the track. Oh yeh, I almost for got to mention the cars…Ferrari 599 GTB, Porsche Carrera GT and a Bugatti Veyron! What a day, J
Johnny O’Connell
“I worked with Jason at the Bondurant School, and found him to be both a very capable driver and coach. His understanding of vehicle dynamics, and driver technique would make him an asset to anyone requiring these services.”
The Drivers Edge Dec 6-7th – MSR
We had a great time at the track this weekend with The Drivers Edge and played with some very capable cars. A special thanks to the kind words that were said reguarding my efforts by the drivers, it is great to know there is support for what I am doing. Also a special thanks to Steve and Jessica H., Scott P. and Christopher B. for letting me drive the Porsche GT3RS, Porsche GT3, 360 Ferrari Challenge and C6 Corvette respectively of course. Cheers and Happy Holidays, J
Jeff Andretti
“Jason is very good with people and knows how to lead a team of people very well. He is very organized and is a very talented driver. I would recommend him to anyone who needs instruction or leadership running a program.”
Coaching Dec 5th 2008 MSR – Bob and Theresa H.
Bob and Theresa are avid Corvette lovers. They have been coming to the track for some time and for this coaching session they brought 2 cars with modestly modified 427’s totalling @1100rwhp combined!!! It was an awesome day with Theresa finding about 5 seconds per lap and Bob finding around 4 seconds per lap. These are no doubt 2 of the fastest corvettes in Texas that show up to the track with license plates and inspections stickers! I do question the inspection stickers a bit…LOL. Good times with the Halford’s, J
Coaching Nov 21st 2008 MSR – Ginger G.
Ginger has been driving over the years at most of the events Drivers Edge puts on. She was interested in having someone help her acheive the next level in her driving. We did a bit of skid pad work and began to encourage an earlier throttle application point. She developed a new trust in her car control ability. This coupled with a few tweeks here and there produced a few seconds per lap of improvement. Great job Ginger, J
Coaching Nov 30th 2008 MSR – Tom D.
Tom and I have been working on a day at the track for some time and we finally found one that worked. Tom is a great driver who has been at the track for some time. With Tom we were able to sort out a few new lines and learn to trust his 996 at the limit when most drivers get a little uncomfortable. We were able to find Tom a few seconds today and with the move to slicks I am sure he will be hard to follow in the future. Cheers, J
The 928 is back under construction!!!
After spending the year working away with Toyota Tundra and Sequoia events across the country it is time to bring the 928 race car to Texas and get it finished and on the track. The arrival date is currently scheduled for the second week of Nov.
Coaching Oct 2nd 2008 ECR – Steve C.
Another day at ECR with Steve and we are continuing to find time here and there. The time is coming in smaller chunks as his pace is very strong these days. Steve happens to race in a very close field of cars in PCA Group E so every bit of time counts. Keep up the great work Steve, J
Coaching Oct 1st 2008 ECR – Cliff C.
Cliff has an awesome supercharged miata and has decided to tune up his driving to match his hot rod. Cliff was able to pick up near 10 seconds per lap and found consistancy to boot!!! What and awesome day to see someone find so much time. Well done, J
